Happy New Year! It’s 2012. An even number, possibly our last year? Haha, who believes in that shit. Anyways, 2011 was kinda awesome. From beginning to end. I quite enjoyed myself. So 2012 better live up to it. I’m sure this year will be even better. How about we have some resolutions this year? YEAH I THINK SO!
Okay so these are some group resolutions that we must do.
1) We have to do a lot more shit together
2) We have to go to Denny’s at 3 a.m.
3) We have to go like tobogganing
4) We should go lasertagging
5) Maybe paintballing? Painful, but still
6) Go watch dumb movies with others
7) Party more
8) Go out to dinner
9) Do some shtuff in the summer
10) Have a fucking awesome year together!
Let’s try to do most or all of these, they’re not that ambitious and crazy. We have to try and spend a lot more time together :)
This is actually the third time I’m typing this, so a warning I’ll use the words fun and awesome and amazing a lot. Tumblr has timed me out or something. Anyways, so Siobhan and I were at Leadership Camp. It’s basically where you and a whole bunch of people from your school get together and play games and do seminars to stimulate that leadership skill in you! Our theme this year was DISNEY! Which is just fantastic.
We were split up in to different groups based on Disney movies. Our groups were: Aladdin, Cinderella, Finding Nemo, Lion King, and Toy story. I was in Aladdin. My group was awesome and fun. The leaders were fun and outgoing. All the leaders were approachable and entertaining.
We did workshop/seminars about a couple of things, global awareness, communication, Teamwork, time management and organization, and self esteem. I have to say my favourite seminar was communications, but for reasons that aren’t related to communications. Well actually that’s not true, but I liked it. Teamwork was the most fun one! Trust falls for the win! Overall the workshops were great. On the second day we did yoga which was interesting, for a lack of a better word. As well on The first night we had a guest speaker. He is a teacher at NHS, and his story was incredibly SAD, interesting and eye opening! Man oh man it was so hard not to cry in his story.
For dinner we had spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. The spaghetti pasta was boiled at school, the sauce was obviously store bought (and I mean it was obvious that no one would make sauce for like 70 or so kids), and well garlic bread was made there. We had juice but that quickly ran out, then there was soda. Then we had cookies as dessert. After we had hot chocolate and there were chips. For breakfast there were bagels, oatmeal and fruit. After a couple hours we had snack which was a chocolate chip granola bar. And for lunch today we had pizza with bad soda. Yeah the food was pretty good for what were doing. So I was satisfied.
Games! We had some pretty awesome games. So the little ones we did in our group were 2 truths and a lie which we called 2 truths and a wish (sticken’ with the Aladdin theme) and then the great sand blow upon…and you finish the sentence with something that you have done and have to switch spots with them. Like never have I ever. And we played games within our workshops. We also played games with the whole groups. There were some pretty awesome ones like you and a partner were on opposite sides of the wall and then had to run in the middle to do some crazy thing that the leaders said. We played a game where we were divided into 2 groups and had to throw a fake fish across the rooms for the other team to run and get it, then your team had to squeeze together and one person did laps around the group. We had 43 or so laps. Yeah it was amazing! We played other games but those were some pretty exciting ones.
Camp songs!!! Yeah we sang camp songs around a non-existent fire. There involved movement in some of them. Such as the penguin one, where the leaders who were doing it were adorable-y awesome! We sang the littlest worm, this pony song involving dancing, and this snake one which was hilarious. Afterwards 2 leaders had guitars and so they brought theirs out and played songs as we sang the lyrics to them. And well, one of the leaders has ukulele and we sang you are my sunshine! Also we did the “we got spirit” which got pretty intense. And we did this one where we had to rap a nursery rhyme which then turned into lines from songs. The singing-ness was nice and fun to do.
Overall leadership camp was fun and amazing and super duper awesome. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
So I feel like I’ve gone on too long so here’s the short list of my favourite things that happened:

Ps. this was supposed to be posted yesterday but my internet kept failing. DAMN YOU CRAPPY MODEM! Also I’m sorry that it’s so long.
SIGH. So munch is happening at once. Well not really, but I do have a science test on Tuesday, then a history test on Wednesday, then a world religions test on Thursday. I have not studied for any of them…I should…but I haven’t. Next week will be busy, but the week after that it MARCH BREAK!!!! :) I’m ever so excited.
Anyways, so today was a wonderful! Well kind of. So the morning we get new seats in world religions. We ate cake in history. I shook the hand of an amazing person at lunch! We dissected a frog in science (frankly, I didn’t like that too much, but it was okay). In math we had a quiz. And then I went to coffee house and that was amazing! Ohh and also today was very coincidental. lol.
Also, since we (as in the bloggers) are all in grade 10. We picked our grade 11 courses. So since Universities and colleges look at your grade 11 marks, I’ve been planning my future. It is that bad? To plan ahead, because it seems like it. I have about 4 view-books in my room, and I’m not going to university for another 2 years. But I like planning and I think it’s great, so screw everyone else. Even if everything changes when I graduate.
Sorry for the rambling, I felt like that I didn’t post for a long time.

Boy, have I missed a lot on the blog.
Anyways, so its about three more days until break! I’m super excited to not be in school for 2 weeks. Yet this break should be productive. I know productivity when you’re not in school? CRAZY! Well anyways, I need to actually read and understand Lord of the Flies, MAKE my English summative visual and possibly make notes for French to study for exams. that last one won’t happen, I know it won’t. But the first two have to, or else i’m completely screwed.
Today we had to bring in our visual in English. I brought in a model of what I will be building. I think I did too much, or I didn’t explain it well enough, or I just did it wrong. We’ll see.
On a side note my father went to Bangladesh for a month. It was sad/scary seeing him leave in the airport. He hasn’t been there for thirty years! And it’s been a very long time since he was on a plane alone. So it’s scary thinking what MIGHT happen to him. But he’ll be fine. He’ll be there at 2:00 in the morning our time. Maybe he’ll bring me a tiger back! :P

How annoying you can be. Well the only really annoying things are:
1. because Christmas break is so close all the teachers are shoving knowledge down our throats that they didn’t have time for earlier in the year.
2. When you ask someone what they want for Christmas they go “I dunno….. ask me later” then you go ask them later “I dunno let me think” it is very frustrating when people do this because your just like “TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT GOD DAMN-IT!”
3. Christmas shopping, now I don’t like shopping ever unless I’m in a store with video games in it. But I have to go into a whole bunch of stores I’ve never been in looking for one gift. Bah
Well there’s a quick rant I’m going shopping now….

SOOO OMG OMG OMG TV! Yes I watch WAY too much. Most of the shows I was waiting for premiered this week. Sadly some are back on next TV season, meaning I have to wait until January or February.
So if you watch the following: House, Glee, Criminal Minds, Bones and Community you should not read the rest of this blog post. This is a spoiler Alert. Kind of.
So lets go down the list day by day:
House - Mondays
It was pretty good. I thought it was going to be worse. The most exciting thing that happened was 13’s issues. I hope she comes back. And is Cameron ever coming back? I like her. This whole Huddy thing, is interesting. I hope he goes back on vicodin.
Glee - Tuesdays
It’s not on at 8, which really doesn’t roll in my world. So it was pretty good. I liked it better than the house premiere. I disliked the ending with Rachel singing. But I did like the parts where they talked about Asians, and “Your mouth is HUGE! How many tennis balls can you fit in there?” - Puck AHAHAH YES! I also think Chord Overstreet is cute. His character is also adorable. I’m excited to see what happens in this season.
Criminal Minds - Wednesday
I don’t follow this show, but I watched the season finale of last season. And it was intense! So I watched the premiere, and it was good. Like really good. It kept the suspense. And OMG THE BLONDE WOMAN WAS AMAZING!!! Though she is a regular, her charater role was wonderful. And Ellie (the little girl) was pretty awesome. She stayed so calm. And I wonder if the dad is dead, but since he was a guest character he must be. Well the bad guy died, and I thought he would kill himself but no, Morgan killed him, but I BET he was going to put the gun near his head. AND OMG THE BAD GUY WAS TIM CURRY!Side note, I think Tim Curry,Hugh Laurie and Stephan Fry hang out sometimes. Ohh and Ricky Gervais comes in and is like HEY guys!
Bones - Thurday
Best one by far! It brought things together, it made new things arise, had an interesting plotline and gave characters an new look. I like Bones, but now I like it all that more. I’m totally pumped for this season. I’m glad bones stayed! And OMG HODGENS A DAD?! OHH and Wellden is very attractive as a grease monkey.
Oursourced - Thursdays
It’s a new show. About this white man from America who becomes the call manager in India. The characters are predictable. So is the plot. But it’s one of those shows you just watch. Like Modern Family. Which I missed. :(. This show will be fun to watch, I hope I keep up with it. It was good introduction/pilot.
Community - Thursdays
This was a lot of fun to watch. I love how they all backlashed on each other. I love Abed. And ANNIE WTF?! Ohh and Troy’s twitter account LMAO! :P I’m excited for this season, and Betty White was actually awesome. OHH and Senor Cheng is very awkward, reminds me of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde.
